FINANCIAL EDUCATION The Money Charity helps schools deliver high-quality, engaging and interactive financial education to young people across the UK. While the subject has been on the curriculum since 2014, its implementation has been slow, with only 52% of young people (aged 7-17) in 2018 saying that they have received meaningful financial education at school. This is largely due to teachers and schools not yet being supported with the framework or resourcing needed to fully integrate this into schedules. That's where we step in! MONEY WORKSHOPS We offer a wide range of engaging, fun and interactive financial education Money Workshops, suitable for KS3, KS4 and Post-16 groups, covering lots of relevant financial topics from savings to tax, budgeting to pensions. Our workshops are proven effective, with between 85-95% of participants saying that what they learned was useful and will be relevant to their futures. Our Workshops are free for statefunded schools and offered on a sliding fee scale for non-statefunded schools, or charities/ community organisations who work with young people. WHAT PUPILS + TEACHERS SAY! "I am so impressed with the feedback from the staff and the students this has honestly been of the best sessions we have ever had in school." Teacher "There can be quite a lot of contradicting stuff online which can be quite confusing so it's good to hear from someone who knows lots about it." Student "The lessons are really well planned and the resources engaging. It certainly got my Y9s thinking!" Teacher TEACHER RESOURCE PACKS We've used our years of experience to put together engaging and interactive Teacher Resource Packs that enable teachers and schools to deliver great financial education themselves. Each pack is designed to fit into the curriculum and developed using input and feedback from teaching professionals. We have packs, suitable for both KS3 and KS4 classes, which contain three activities of around 20 minutes each, along with all the instructions, activities and resources you'll need to either run them as stand-alone exercises or part of a full one-hour session.
